A African leopard climbing up a tree in the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Like we did, you almost always see the leopards alone, they are not social animals. Since they are fantastic climbers you most often see them chilling in shady places among tree the branches, where this one is heading. The leopard looks very similar to the jaguar but is smaller. Its dark spots (rosettes) are also smaller and closer to each other and without the central lighter spot. Both leopards and jaguars that are black are known as black panthers. This hard to find and spot animal is the least seen of the Big Five Game. We were very lucky to get some great shots of it on our Safari with Gosheni inside the Serengeti National Park UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019/12 in Tanzania.
