Tanzania is huge and its sheer size means that the weather varies a lot within it. In general, though, the best time to visit Tanzania as a whole is from late June to August. Called kipupwe this is the coolest and sunniest part of the year, and it is dry almost everywhere. This is, in general, the best time to see a lot of different animals. With that said there is really never a completely wrong time to visit. Even during the rainy seasons, the tropical rains happens mostly in the afternoon and in the form of downpours or thunderstorms.
